A product configurator that turns options into a quote
We build product configurators and quote calculators for manufacturers, installers and wholesalers: the customer or your salesperson picks dimensions, materials and options, the software allows only combinations you can deliver, and a priced quote comes out in minutes instead of days.
Overview
A configurator is software that knows your product rules. Windows and doors, furniture, steel structures, heating or solar systems, signage, packaging - anything sold in variants has rules about what fits with what, how dimensions affect materials and how all of it adds up to a price. Today those rules usually live in a spreadsheet only one person trusts, and a quote waits until that person has time. A configurator puts them into one place, so anyone on the team, or the customer on your website, gets the same correct answer.
It pays off when quotes are slow, when the same mistakes keep reaching production, or when your best estimator is the bottleneck for every sale. It is not worth building if you sell a few fixed variants - a good product page does the job - or if your web shop platform has a plugin that already covers your options. We will tell you which case you are in before you spend anything.
Signs you need it
- Every quote goes through one colleague's spreadsheet, and when they are away, quotes wait.
- Customers ask for a price, and you answer two days later - often after a competitor has.
- Orders reach production with combinations that cannot be made, or with wrong dimensions.
- Prices of materials change, and nobody is sure every spreadsheet has been updated.
- Your website shows the product, but the visitor still has to e-mail you to find out what it would cost.
What a product configurator includes
06- 01
Product rules
Your options, dimensions, dependencies and exclusions written down once, so the configurator offers only what you can actually make or install.
- 02
Price calculation
Prices from your own logic - materials, labour, surcharges, discounts by customer or quantity - with price lists you update yourself, without a developer.
- 03
PDF quote in minutes
A branded quote with the configuration, a drawing or sketch where it helps, terms and validity, generated and sent from the configurator.
- 04
Two faces, one engine
A guided version for customers on your website or shop, and a faster expert version for your sales team - both using the same rules and prices.
- 05
Clean order for production
An accepted quote becomes an order with a parts list, cutting sizes or a work order, so production does not re-read the quote.
- 06
Quote follow-up
Every quote saved with its status, automatic reminders for the ones still open, and a view of what customers configure most.
How we work
-
Write the rules down
We sit with your estimator and turn the spreadsheet and their experience into explicit rules, checked against real past quotes. This gives a written scope and a fixed price for the first version.
-
One product line first
The first version covers your most-quoted product line, used by your sales team, so we can compare its prices with how you quote today.
-
Open it to customers
Once the numbers match, we add the customer-facing version on your website or shop and the remaining product lines.
-
Your development team
After launch we stay on a monthly basis as your development department: new products, changed rules and prices, and improvements based on what customers configure.
No project price list. A fixed price before we start.
Every project is different, so the price depends on what you need and how much of it. The first call is free of charge, and you always get a fixed price in writing before any work starts - no surprises.
- 01The first call is free and commits you to nothing
- 02You get a fixed price in writing before work starts
- 03You own the code and data once the work is paid for
- 04Hourly work and extra developers: €40-60 per hour
- 05After launch: software maintenance and development, monthly

Questions
-
01 What is a product configurator?
A product configurator is software that guides a customer or a salesperson through the choices for a product - dimensions, materials, options - and allows only combinations that are valid. A configurator with pricing, often called a quote calculator or CPQ (configure, price, quote), also calculates the price and produces a quote. It turns knowledge that sits in one person's head into rules everyone uses.
-
02 Should the configurator be on our website or only for our sales team?
Often both, on the same rules. A sales version can be dense and fast because your team knows the product, while the website version has to guide a first-time visitor and may show a price range or ask for contact details before the final price. Many companies start with the internal version, check that prices are right, and then open it to customers.
-
03 Do we need a 3D configurator?
Only if seeing the product changes the decision - furniture, finishes or products where proportions matter. For many technical products a clear drawing or a simple 2D sketch with dimensions is enough and much cheaper to maintain. We decide based on what your customers need to see, not on what looks impressive in a demo.
-
04 Can a configurator plugin for our web shop do the job?
Sometimes, yes. If your options are simple - a few choices that add a fixed amount - a plugin for your shop platform is the sensible choice. Custom pays off when dimensions drive the material and price, when options depend on each other, when prices differ by customer, or when the result has to become a production order.
-
05 Who keeps prices and rules up to date?
You do. Price lists, material costs and simple rules are edited in an admin screen without a developer, and every change is recorded. Larger changes - a new product line or new logic - are part of our monthly work with you.
-
06 How much does a configurator cost?
It depends on scope - how many product lines and options, how complex the pricing rules are, whether customers use it on your website, and what has to happen after a quote is accepted. That is why we do not publish a price list. The first call is free, and the price is agreed in writing before work starts.
How long does your next quote take?
Send us one real quote and the spreadsheet behind it. The first call is free, and the price is agreed in writing before work starts.
Completely free. No commitments.
